Engineering & Analysis
CTD offers an array of engineering services that support the
development, implementation, and application of our materials
and technologies. Services include technical support, assistance
in the design and development of devices or equipment using CTD
products, and development of engineering methods for design and
fabrication. CTD has amassed vast experience in providing engineering
support over a wide range of disciplines. The types of support
we can provide include engineering consultation, experimental
studies, analytical design and modeling, and engineering design.
Engineering Consultation
Many of CTD customers are experts in areas other than materials,
but they require the use of CTD products to be successful. CTD
provides engineering consultation on a personal basis. The extent
of this consultation can range from technical support provided
in support of a product purchase, to more extensive involvement,
including process development, preparation of procedures, and
review of customer’s designs.
Experimental Studies
CTD can perform experimental studies to aid a customer in selecting
the most appropriate material, or to validate design or process
concepts. The scope of these experimental studies may vary considerably,
but in every case it is defined with the close involvement of
the customer to ensure that the customer’s specific needs
and budget requirements are addressed.
Analytical Design and Modeling
CTD can perform a broad range of analytical design studies and
modeling in support of customer requirements. CTD’s analytical
tools include NASTRAN, Mathematica, and SINDA/FLUINT.
Engineering Design
CTD provides design engineering support to customers to aid in
their ability to utilize and implement CTD products. This support
includes design of tooling, processing equipment and systems,
and processing components and systems using CTD products. The
scope of CTD’s engineering design support tasks can range
from the review of a customer’s designs to the complete
design, fabrication, installation, and operation of equipment.
